About the Role

Diverse Agile Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to provide support for our work with Army Public Health Center near Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG). This role will serve as technical lead for network engineering projects and/or services, under minimal supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides technical oversight for the application of and compliance with APHC technical standards.
- Coordinates the technical activities directly with government customer for implementation.
- Completes reports and summaries for tracking and management of projects.
- Provides project work order tracking/regular updates and completes status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries.
- Assist in the planning, design, implementation and sustainment of all site networking activities including data center layouts, hardware configurations and inter-building connectivity.
- Supports all technical phases of networking system sustainment.
- Responds to related helpdesk requests within 1 business hour when Lab or other special systems are negatively impacted by patching on prescribed alternate nights.
- Performs daily data center operations and checks to ensure uptime and upkeep of all data center IT equipment, reporting all issues to IMD government management within 1 hour of identifying the issue.
- Manages operations and lifecycle support, including but not limited to software upgrade requirements, outages, capacity planning, rack and floor space management, server management, and logical access controls management.
- Performs manual patching when required and as needed if automated processes present a risk level that is considered unacceptable by the Government. Manual patching will meet DoD prescribed Cyber - - Security deadlines at a minimum.
-Provides assistance for complex networking issues to less experienced team members.
- Provides guidance and training to less experienced team members
- Supports all technical phases of networking system sustainment.
- Formulates logical designs of system problems, devise and implement procedures for solutions to those problems.
- Complete sand maintain operational and technical documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Secret Security clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required).
- (5+) years hands-on technical experience with computer systems, information systems and data communications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other business related is preferred.
- Certification: CCNA and MCSA or MCSE plus baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8570.01 and DoD 8570.01-M

- (5) years of experience in electronics, data communications or telecommunications positions is preferred with progressive experience designing and/or installing LAN’s.

Specialized Skills:
- Capable of providing the appropriate physical and technical protection of the backup and restoration hardware, firmware, configuration information and software.
- Expertise in developing and executing disaster recovery procedures.
- Equipped to perform quarterly testing of disaster recovery procedures and provide written summary of the results to IMD government management.
- Skilled in ensuring all environments; Windows NIPR and SIPR are fully operational, secure, within capacity and maintain redundancy.
- Trained to provide technical support and recommended technical solutions to the government in support of this initiative.
- Skilled at all technical phases of networking system sustainment.
- Capable of documenting and implementing new and ongoing business processes that specify special handling procedures for excluded systems to minimize risk to critical mission processes.
- Qualified monitor network-monitoring activities daily to ensure all production environments are fully functional, available and meeting performance specifications and shall notify the Government within 30 minutes of any issues/concerns
- Equipped to provide operational support for all LAN hardware (routers and switches) and software, including connectivity between the network devices and segments.

Work Schedule:
Full time with occasional travel between IT support facilities. System Engineer II shall be available and required to work additional hours as deemed necessary for adequate deliverable care of services.
