Full Job Description
Job Summary:
Develop cutting edge technologies to facilitate collective, force-on-force tactical
training. Work with a multi-functional team to deliver hardware and software solutions. The position
includes a combination of remote and in-office work, with the latter preferred.
Location: The position is located in Orlando (preferred location) but we are willing to allow candidates to live in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD area and work remotely.
Responsibilities: Java coding and testing, support for integration and test and Trouble
Report fixes. Working as a member of a multi-functional team to deliver software/hardware
applications on an aggressive timeline to support soldier training. Design and documentation of
solutions. Implementation of software designs. Mentoring of more junior developers. Coordination
with subcontractors as part of the overall team – no throwing things over the transom. Less than
20% of time involving travel, some internationally.
Essential Job Functions:
- Implement components as directed by more senior engineers
- Participate in Agile software development ceremonies (scrum, retrospective, etc.)
- Support integration into larger system developed remotely
Required Skills:
- Object Oriented design background
- Strong background in Java
- Ability to test and debug
Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:
- Linux experience
- Android development
- Distributed Development
- Agile development
- Embedding software
- DoD live training systems
- Containerization
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering,
computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited
college or university. May consider experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of related job experience in working on government DoD programs

requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security
clearance.
